It is definitely  one of the best burgers I have eaten!!!  The Feta Spread works so well with the moist meat, lettuce, and tomatoes creating a delicious party in your mouth! UMMMM!!!

BURGERS:

2 pounds ground lamb (a little more won’t matter, sometimes prepackaged meats are more than a pound)

3 Tablespoons minced fresh mint leaves

1 Tablespoon minced garlic

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine all ingredients gently but thoroughly. Using hands shape mixture into 6 wide patties about 1/2 inch thick and place on platter. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to overnight.

FETA SPREAD:

4 ounces crumbled feta cheese (I use reduced fat)

4 ounces cream cheese, softened (again I use lite or the reduced fat)

1/4 cup mayonnaise (you guessed it)

2 Tablespoons green onion tops, minced

1 teaspoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Combine all ingredients, stirring well. Cover with plastic wrap and refridgerate for at least 1 hour and up to overnight to allow flavors to blend.

CONDIMENTS:

lettoce

tomatoes, sliced

roasted red peppers,(optional)

When you are ready to cook your burgers, preheat a grill or B.B.Q. to medium-high. Brush the burgers on both sides with olive oil. Place each burger on hot grill and cook fot about 4 minutes on each side for medium, a bit longer for well done. Toast your buns till warm. Serve burgers with some of the feta spread on top of each burger patty. Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, and even some roasted red peppers if you like.

Get your napkins ready and enjoy this wonderful burger immediately!!
