I know …the name is terrible! But it has been around for a long while and it is easy and delicious! The original recipe uses cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple, but you can switch it up, and it is equally as good!

 

Ingredients:

1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling   ( switch it up by using two cans and omitting pineapple) or (1 can cherry and 1 can apple)

1 ( 20 oz,) can crushed pineapple, undrained

1 box yellow or white cake mix

1 stick of butter

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

 

Directions:

1: Empty cans of fruit into a 9 x 12 x 2 inch baking dish, ( greased or sprayed with cooking spray).

2: Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pie canned fruit.

3: Melt butter and drizzle over cake mix.

4: Sprinkle with nuts

5: Bake at 350 for about an hour.
